Sarah Aouchiche

SSarah is a Canadian lawyer with a diverse background and a strong commitment to both her legal profession and her community, both locally and internationally. Sarah earned her Bachelor of Laws and Civil Law degree from the University of Ottawa and was called to the Ontario bar in 2011.

Sarah has a dual practice, in Canada and internationally, where she developed a substantial experience. She is a seasoned legal professional specializing in litigation, immigration, quasi-criminal law, professional licensing, and regulatory matters. With years of experience prosecuting and defending clients, she is recognized for her precise attention to detail, collaborative approach, and commitment to building strong relationships with clients, opposing counsel, regulators, and the judiciary. Sarah has represented clients at all levels of court in Ontario and frequently appears before administrative tribunals, refugee and immigration appeal tribunals and in the Federal Court.

Her client-centered focus ensures efficient and effective outcomes in the complex realm of professional regulation. Having worked for a prominent and enforcement-driven regulator for many years as a prosecutor, Sarah gained invaluable insight into regulatory processes and decision-making. This unique perspective informs her ability to prosecute cases for multiple regulators and achieve favorable results for her clients. By leveraging her thorough understanding of regulatory systems, she consistently resolves matters efficiently and cost-effectively, often securing timely solutions that benefit all parties involved.

Sarah has a specialization in international humanitarian law, where she acquired an extensive profile working for the United Nations and the International Committee of the Red Cross, deployed in over 10 countries. Sarah brings a unique perspective to her practice, as she experienced the realties faced by those seeking immigration in Canada. This combined experience enables her to provide effective strategy, representation, and advocacy for her clients.

Donald M. Greenbaum

Donald M. Greenbaum QC is counsel to Aouchiche Law Firm, where he shares his 62 years of immigration law expertise.

Donald M. Greenbaum QC has a bachelor of laws degree granted in 1960 from Osgoode Hall Law School, now York University. Mr. Greenbaum has been practicing immigration law exclusively since 1962 and was president of the Immigration Law Section of the Canadian Bar Association (CBA) on its formation and represented the CBA in formulating the extensive revisions to the 1967 Immigration Act based on recommendations presented to the Joint Committee of the House of Commons and Senate of Canada.

Mr. Greenbaum has been a renowned immigration lawyer for the past 62 years and has contributed to the shaping of immigration law in Canada over these years. He has expert knowledge of all facets of Canadian immigration law in actual practice with immigration processes, refugee and immigration appeal tribunals and in the Federal Court.
